CHERBOURG — ELECTION DAY 2024
On 16 March 2024, I spent election day in Cherbourg documenting the community as people came together to choose their next Mayor and Council.
These photographs aren't simply about who won or lost. They're a record of the day itself — candidates making their final pitch, families arriving to vote, conversations outside the polling place, familiar faces, laughter, nerves and the small moments that happen when a community comes together to decide who will represent them.
Bruce Simpson was elected Mayor alongside councillors Carla Fisher, Tom Langton, Daniel Weazel and Gordon Wragge.
